Job Title: Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will take a leadership role in designing and developing electrical systems for building projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards.

Responsibilities:Electrical System Design & Leadership:

• Lead the design and implementation of electrical systems for building projects, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and low voltage systems.
• Develop and review detailed electrical design drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.
• Provide technical mentorship and supervision to junior engineers and design teams.

Project Management & Coordination:

• Oversee and coordinate electrical design activities to ensure alignment with architectural, structural, and mechanical plans.
• Participate in high-level project meetings, offering technical solutions to complex design challenges.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project success.

Technical Documentation & Compliance:

• Prepare and approve technical reports, design specifications, and bills of quantities (BOQ).
• Ensure all electrical designs comply with local regulations, international standards, and safety codes.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to drive innovation and efficiency.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with suppliers and vendors to specify and procure the most suitable electrical equipment and materials.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience: 10+ years of experience in electrical design for building projects.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant electrical design tools.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical system design, industry standards, and local regulatory requirements.
• Leadership & Problem-Solving: Ability to lead design teams, troubleshoot complex electrical issues, and optimize system performance.
• Communication & Coordination: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Sharjah.
