Job Description: Sales Manager (Travel Agency) – Dubai
Position Overview
The Sales Manager in a Dubai-based travel agency is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing client relationships, and leading sales teams to achieve targets. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, market analysis, and customer engagement to promote bespoke travel packages and corporate solutions. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in Dubai’s travel market, including luxury, leisure, and corporate segments.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
Develop and execute sales plans to meet or exceed monthly/quarterly revenue targets.
Identify new market opportunities (e.g., B2B partnerships, luxury travel and corporate clients) and expand the customer base.
Negotiate contracts with airlines, hotels, and tour operators to secure competitive rates.
Client & Account Management
Build long-term relationships with clients, travel agents, and corporate accounts through personalized service.
Resolve customer complaints promptly and ensure post-travel follow-ups to enhance satisfaction.
Organize sales trips, trade shows, and promotional events to boost brand visibility.
Team Leadership & Training
Lead and mentor a sales team, providing training on CRM tools, negotiation techniques, and market trends.
Monitor team performance metrics and implement improvements to achieve KPIs.
Market Analysis & Reporting
Analyze competitor activity, pricing strategies, and industry trends to adjust sales tactics.
Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and budgets for senior management.
Operational Compliance
Ensure adherence to travel regulations (e.g., IATA standards) and company policies during bookings.
Oversee inventory management of travel packages and promotional materials.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or Tourism Management (MBA preferred for senior roles).
Experience:
5+ years in travel sales, with 2+ years in a managerial role.
Proven track record in Dubai/UAE market, including corporate travel or luxury segments.
Skills:
Proficiency in travel booking software (e.g., Amadeus, Galileo) and CRM systems.
Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
Strong negotiation, leadership, and multitasking abilities.
Certifications: Certifications like CTA (Certified Travel Associate) or CTC (Certified Travel Counselor) are advantageous.
