Overview: We are seeking an experienced Automobile Trainer with expertise in OBD diagnostics across a wide range of European, American, German, Asian, and Electric vehicles. This role involves developing and delivering training content, leading hands-on workshops, and guiding trainees in the use of OBD diagnostic tools and system repairs for both traditional and electric vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
1. OBD Training Delivery: Conduct training on OBD diagnostics for various vehicle brands (e.g., VW, BMW, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Tesla) using industry-standard tools (e.g., Autel, Snap-On, VAG-COM, Techstream).
2. Curriculum Development: Design and update training modules focused on manufacturer-specific OBD protocols, including systems like BMW ISTA, Toyota Techstream, GM GDS2, and other OBD tools. with a focus on both internal combustion and electric vehicle systems.
3. Advanced Diagnostics: Teach troubleshooting techniques for engine, transmission, ABS, airbags, ECUs, and hybrid/electric drivetrains using live data, system resets, and recalibrations.
4. Hands-On Workshops: Lead practical training with real-world diagnostics, focusing on complex systems like turbocharging, hybrid drivetrains, emissions, and EV-specific OBD protocols (e.g., battery management systems, regenerative braking).
5. Brand-Specific Knowledge: Provide in-depth instruction on diagnostic tools and protocols specific to European, American, German, Asian, and Electric vehicle manufacturers (Multi brand) (e.g., Porsche PIWIS, Ford IDS, Tesla diagnostic tools, Hyundai GDS).
6. Emissions & Hybrid/EV Systems: Offer specialized training on OBD-II compliance, Euro 6 standards, hybrid/electric vehicle diagnostics (e.g., Toyota Prius, Tesla, BMW i3), and electric-specific systems like battery management and charging.
7. Mechanical Troubleshooting & System Repairs: Provide expertise and guidance on repairing key mechanical systems, such as the engine, gearbox, transmission, and drivetrain. Teach diagnostics, repair procedures, and system recalibration on a variety of vehicle types, including those with internal combustion engines, hybrids, and electric drivetrains.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor's in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent certifications (e.g., ASE, I-CAR).
2. Experience: 4-6 years in automotive diagnostics, with hands-on experience using OBD tools across multiple brands, including electric vehicles.
3. Skills: Strong knowledge of OBD-II systems, brand-specific diagnostic tools, and troubleshooting procedures. Experience with hybrid and EV systems is highly preferred. Previous training/mentoring experience is a plus.
4. Certifications (Preferred): ASE Master Technician or equivalent, manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., BMW, Toyota, Ford, Tesla).
5. Proven Track Record: Excellent track record working with agencies and factories, including successful training delivery and collaboration with automotive manufacturers and repair centers.
6. Training Structure Expertise: Ability to develop and deliver structured training programs from basic to advanced levels, covering all aspects of OBD diagnostics and mechanical repairs, ensuring a comprehensive learning journey for all trainees.
7. Multilingual Skills (Preferred): Proficiency in multiple languages to effectively communicate and deliver training to diverse groups of trainees across different regions and languages.
