Salary: maximum 5000 AED

Job Description: We are looking for a qualified and experienced Orthotics Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, designing, and fitting orthotic devices to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent injury in patients with musculoskeletal conditions. This role involves working with a wide range of patients, including those recovering from surgery, sports injuries, or managing chronic conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient assessments to determine the need for orthotic intervention based on medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
  • Design, create, and fit custom orthotic devices such as insoles, braces, or splints to address patient needs.
  • Work closely with physicians, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate treatment and coordination of care.
  • Educate patients on the proper use, maintenance, and care of their orthotic devices.
  • Provide follow-up care to monitor the effectiveness of orthotics and make adjustments as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in orthotic technology and treatment options.
  • Keep detailed records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all orthotic fittings and treatments.
  • Assist in the selection and fitting of off-the-shelf orthotic products as necessary.
  • Offer guidance on exercises or stretches that may complement orthotic treatment.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in Orthotics, Prosthetics, or a related field.
  • Certification or licensure in orthotics (e.g., ABC Certified Orthotist or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in designing, fabricating, and fitting orthotic devices is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Ability to work with a variety of patient populations, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to patients in an understandable way.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with digital imaging and 3D printing technology for orthotics.
  • Familiarity with the use of orthotic tools and materials.
  • Strong patient care and customer service orientation.
  • First aid and CPR certification (preferred but not required).
