Accountabilities and Key Roles:
- Develop and maintain Business Continuity and Resilience Management procedures, guidelines, protocols and standards to enable Bank’s functions/ Group to deliver a comprehensive Business Continuity and Resilience Management arrangements.
- Communicate Business Continuity and Resilience Management policies and frameworks to all Bank’s functions/ Group and ensuring adherence to them.
- Follow-up and due diligence to implement the related Business Continuity and Resilience Management projects in the Bank’s functions/ Group and monitor progress.
- Ensure Business Continuity and Resilience Management recovery plans are updated and tested frequently and report continuity test results to management, recommend improvement as needed and manage resolution of all issues
- Follow-up and assist the Bank’s functions/ Group in conducting Business Impact Analysis, plans development, maintenance, and ensure developing business impact analysis report where the business rationale and risk profile is clearly understood and defendable.
- Support the Bank’s functions/ Group to develop cost effective Business Continuity and Resilience Management Strategies based on business impact analysis studies and ensure the implementation of these strategies.
- Work with the Bank’s functions/ Group to anticipate internal/external developments related to their functions, identify threats and vulnerabilities that hinder critical functions and help prepare the treatment plan to maintain resilience
- Lead the Business Continuity ISO 22301 re-certification process and surveillance audit cycle.
- Follow-up the development and implementation of the Business Continuity and Resilience Management awareness program and provide required training on the Business Continuity and Resilience Management methodology.
- Provide specialized training to the concerned staff in the areas on using the Business Continuity software tools to enable them develop and maintain their plans.
- Follow-up with the concerned department at the Head Office and the group level regarding the development/readiness of the Disaster Recovery and the Business Continuity sites and ensure compliance with the Business Continuity and Resilience Management requirements.
- Follow-up with the areas to ensure that the regulators requirements and the audit findings are complied with and implemented in their relevant plans.
- Main all administration of the Business Continuity and Resilience Management System.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or any related field from a recognized university.
- Professional certification is a must (ISO22301).
Experience:
- 9+ years of banking experience in a leading regional or international bank of which 4 in Business Continuity Management is a must.
Competencies:
- Fluent in English and Arabic.
- Good understanding of different banking operations.
- Experience in IT infrastructure & disaster recovery is required.
- Good knowledge of BCM practices and protocols, including in-depth knowledge of international BCM standards promoted by BCI, DR. and ISO.
- Knowledge and practicing the Business Continuity software tools.
- Good understanding of business continuity and resilience concepts including risk management, crisis management, disaster recovery, business impact analysis, business continuity lifecycle.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Project management skills required, including the ability to work across multiple teams, channels, and reporting lines.
