Marketing Assistant

Qima Coffee is a globally recognised coffee sourcing and trading business that specialises in discovering and offering some of the world’s finest coffees, with the aim of generating sustainable livelihoods for smallholder farmers. Qima was established in 2016, initially sourcing coffee from Yemen with the aim of generating livelihoods for smallholder farmers in one of the world’s most difficult operating environments. Having succeeded in (re)building Yemen’s coffee industry, in 2020 Qima expanded its coffee sourcing operations globally and the company now operates in numerous coffee producing countries, and markets and distributes its coffees to over 40 countries worldwide.


Job Description

Qima Coffee is actively looking for a dynamic and motivated Marketing Assistant in delivering exceptional customer experiences and managing content operations. In this role, you'll be instrumental in supporting the Marketing and Communications Division in executing strategies that drive brand equity with multiple stakeholders.


We're seeking someone with a background and interest in content operations and management, a keen sense of analytics and insights, and a comprehensive grasp of the F&B and sustainability sectors.


The ideal candidate will be passionate about the coffee value chain, have robust writing skills across a variety of brand tones, possess strong organisational skills and a commitment to timelines, and demonstrate enthusiasm towards communicating with customers along with the eagerness to learn and integrate feedback.


Salary: 600 - 1000 USD per month

Location: Amman-Jordan


Key Responsibilities


Social media management and operations

  • Provide operational support for content creation and distribution, including managing content calendars, organising digital assets, and ensuring timely delivery of content.
  • Helping manage social media accounts by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, responding to comments and messages, and analysing performance metrics to optimise social media strategies.
  • Assisting in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of marketing data and metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations.

Reputation management and customer engagement

  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Officer to enhance customer experience across various touchpoints, including social media platforms, website interactions, and email communications.
  • Foster meaningful relationships with our digital communities pan-platforms

Research

  • Conducting market research and analysis to gather information about industry trends, competitor activities, and target audience preferences, which can inform marketing strategies and decision-making.
  • Assist in crafting and curating engaging content to be distributed through newsletters, social media channels, and other communication platforms.

Supporting the team in additional tasks

  • Support in understanding and refining the brand position to ensure it aligns with customer expectations and preferences.
  • Providing administrative assistance to the marketing team, such as handling correspondence and organising marketing materials and resources.

Experience and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  2. Prior experience in customer experience, content operations, or related roles is preferred.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  4. Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms.
  5. Demonstrated experience with Meta Business Suite and Mailchimp.
  6. Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  7. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights. Adept with MS Excel.
  8. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  9. Interest in the coffee industry and commitment to sustainable and ethical practices.
  10. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a vibrant, global and rapidly growing business environment.
  11. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and responsibilities.
