Role Purpose:

The IT Business Solution Team Leader at Virgin Megastore is responsible for the Business Solution Systems, ERP, technical support and Administration, as well as managing, providing directions and help supporting the IT Business Solution Unit Members. He/she technically ensures availability of reliable information and proper system administration.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support core users in their daily operational requirements on site and remotely
• Participate in installing, upgrading and updating the system’s components in order to maintain the system’s performance and security
• Execute pre-defined technical analysis and feasibility studies on users’ needs and suggest integrated solutions with existing business applications
• Review, validate and write the documentation of technical implementation and support, and maintain the updates of the system
• Test the system software and ensure proper troubleshooting
• Assist in recruiting, training, motivating and evaluating his/her team to ensure that the department has the necessary skill base and that staff are optimally motivated and enabled to maximize their potential and contribution to the company
• Take corrective and preventative measures in order to keep a stable environment
• Conduct research, prepare Proof of Concept on new technologies, and submit technical reports to the hierarchy
• Carry out functional supervisory responsibilities that include planning and assigning tasks, setting deadlines, monitoring results and quality, and relaying team's request to hierarchy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent; certifcation in MCDP (Web, Windows, Enterprise application) is a plus
• 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar field
• Experience in Visual Studio development tools and SQL server Strong Knowledge of the Business field (ERP Systems)
