Machine Operator

We are looking for Thermoforming Machine Operators who can operate and support machinery by maintaining the same through periodic testing and repairs.


Responsibilities

Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, labelling etc.) to start a production cycle

Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)

Feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines

Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools

Test operation of machines periodically

Fix issues that might occur during the shift

Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws

Keep records of approved and defective units or final products

Maintain activity logs

Performs all assignments in accordance with safety specifications, instructions, and requirements

Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within the required time

Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space

Reports all production waste to Production Supervisor

Responsible for safety and quality throughout the production of the machine

Responsible for notifying a Production Supervisor when they step off the line to ensure safety and quality standards are maintained

Performs other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager

Follows all company policies and procedures


Qualifications

MINIMUM: School Certification

PREFERRED: High school Certification


Certification

Industrial Training Certification


Experience

2-3 years experience as a machine operator

Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools.


Skills and Abilities

Aptitude for math, problem-solving, computers, and mechanics.

Attention to detail.

Proficiency with hand tools.

Understanding of production procedures

Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)

Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals

Analytical skills

Teamwork and communication skills

Physical stamina and strength
