Job Title: Safety Officer (Qatar Gas Approved)

Location: Raslaffan, Qatar

Job Overview:
The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety programs and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards pertaining to workplace safety. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of safety management systems and a strong commitment to promoting a culture of safety within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with Qatar Gas standards and local regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
• Organize and lead safety training sessions and workshops for employees at all levels.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper safety practices are followed.
• Maintain accurate records of safety activities, incidents, and compliance audits.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to promote a proactive approach to safety.
• Stay updated with the latest safety regulations, trends, and best practices in the industry.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Certification as a Safety Officer from a recognized organization (Qatar Gas Approval is mandatory).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in safety management within the oil and gas or construction sector.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in MS Office and safety management software.
