Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Logistics Officer at Ideal Concepts Co. The Logistics Officer will be responsible for managing shipping operations through all of air, sea and land channels, and providing exceptional customer service on a daily basis.
The role involves:
- Managing and overseeing all logistics and procurement operations including resource allocation for projects.
- Ensuring the timely delivery of materials and equipment for projects.
- Coordinating with field teams to ensure smooth logistical operations
- Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable service.
- Implementing logistics strategies that enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Preparing detailed logistical reports for management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
- Conducting risk assessments related to logistics and developing mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics management, with a maximum of 5 years preferred.
- Strong coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in logistics management software and tools for tracking and reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favourable terms with suppliers and contractors.
- Experience in environmental project logistics is an advantage.
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) is preferred.
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is preferred.
