What You'll Be Doing

  • Initiate contact with originating creditors, collection agencies, and attorney offices to negotiate reduced settlements on behalf of clients with delinquent or charged-off accounts via phone & email.
  • Calculate settlement percentages in adherence to departmental guidelines.
  • Reviewing all scrubs assigned and settle any debt eligible while following the negotiations guidelines.
  • Assess client banking accounts to ascertain required funds for settlements and company performance fees.
  • Gather and submit necessary documentation for account approval and payment, including the transmission of e-faxes between clients, creditors, collection agencies, and attorney offices.
  • Exceed Key Performance Indicators set by the Negotiations Manager.
  • Fulfill reporting requirements and undertake additional tasks as assigned by direct supervisors.
  • Review and analyze client financial statements, credit reports, and debt documentation to gain a comprehensive understanding of the client's financial status and negotiate settlements accordingly.
  • Conduct outbound calls and respond to inbound calls between creditors and clients.
  • Address creditor-related inquiries promptly, responding to all client and interdepartmental queries in a timely manner.
  • Manage incoming emails from both clients and creditors, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Undertake additional tasks as delegated by the Negotiations Manager

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
  • one or more years of experience in an operational or similar role.
  • Proven organizational skills, including time management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High communication ability, verbal and written.
  • Relevant IT competence, specifically with MS Office Suite, in particular Excel and ability to master other software quickly.
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to multi-task, while maintaining accuracy.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.

Working Days

  • Monday to Friday: Night shift
  • 6th day: Based on need, managed fairly based on priorities and urgency
