Accountabilities and Key Roles:
- Identify, measure and reporting the Bank’s corporate credit risk exposure against set internal parameters & performing scenarios & stress testing.
- Reporting the Bank’s corporate credit risk exposure art Group Level, and assuring proper quality and validation of such reporting. This covers a monthly report to related senior management at H.O. and the quarterly report for the Board Risk Committee Presentation to be reviewed and approved.
- Follow ups with Credit Department at AB Plc Branches and AB Subsidiaries on the Credit Risk portfolio reporting, data quality, justifications for portfolio movements and changes on monthly basis
- Prepare the annual ICAAP “Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment process” document in line with the Bank’s overall strategy/risk appetite and Basel and its related regulatory requirements, on a Group and Branches levels, with annual reporting to Regulators,
- Conduct the regulatory required stress testing “Credit Risk Stress Tests” at AB Group Level, Jordan Level and other branches using internal stress tests scenarios or as required by regulators. This include follow-ups and coordination with H.O. Capital Management and Credit Administration departments and with branches and subsidiaries Credit and Finance departments to properly assess the scenarios and conduct the stress tests.
- Review AB Subsidiaries regulatory reporting i.e. ICAAP, Stress Test, IFRS9 ECL calculation.
- Participate with other stakeholders within the Risk Management Department on the review and enhancement of the Risk Appetite statement, Risk Register/ profile, Crisis and recovery management...etc.
- Continuously review & improve the corporate credit risk management in line with the Bank’s overall strategy/risk appetite and Basel and its related regulatory requirements.
- Recommend & periodically review corporate credit risk management policies, standards, and key Credit Risk parameters in coordination with credit function.
- Support the Business Risk Review Department with the required portfolio analysis and quality trend on AB Branch / Subsidiaries Level
- Provide support and supervision for the efforts of implementing Basel and IFRS9 ECL requirements for corporate credit risk and ensuring adherence to all requirements in coordination with H.O. Capital Management and Credit Administration departments and with branches and subsidiaries Credit and Finance departments.
- Enhance corporate credit risk management regulatory requirements, Basel and IFRS9 awareness across the Bank.
- Develop and review tools to identify measure and monitor corporate credit risk management.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/ Risk Management or relevant field from a recognized university.
- Relevant professional certification in risk management is a plus.
Experience:
- +7 years of experience in Corporate Banking or Credit with an international bank with exposure to emerging markets, of which 3 years in a Risk Management or Credit Senior position role.
Competencies:
- Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Advanced mathematical, analytical, modeling and PC skills.

- Interact effectively with senior management and to manage different stakeholders.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Solid knowledge of lending practices, tools, & Basel II requirements.
