1- Design and analyze optical systems for a range of electro-optical applications.


2- Develop system specifications, optical layouts, and tolerance analyses.


3- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software) to integrate optical components.


4- Lead and manage the Optical Engineering Unit, including assigning tasks, setting priorities, and mentoring junior engineers.


5- Coordinate with project managers and other engineering leads to ensure timely and effective project execution.


6- Support recruiting, performance reviews, and professional development of optical engineering staff.


7- Develop test procedures and protocols for validating system performance.


8- Participate in hands-on testing of optical and electro-optical systems in laboratory and field environments.


9- Analyze test results and iterate on designs to meet performance targets.

Skills


  1. Optical System Designing, MWIR, LWIR Thermal imaging System, NIR systems, non imaging optics using optical design softwares ZEMAX and SYNOPSYS.

  2. ⁠optical Assembly, integration and Testing. Optical Testing at component level and system level including IR, visible cameras, LRF and LTD.

  3. ⁠Environmental testing and thin film coating test using MIL STANDARDS.

  4. ⁠Laser beam characterization; pulsed laser and fiber laser
