JOB DESCRIPTION
Conduct analysis on JCDC ESG performance through gathering data from various BL and sources, including financial reports, projects performance reports, sustainability reports, and regulatory standards.
Lead the analytical activities for JCDC ESG and ensure the establishment of ESG goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and ensure alignment with industry best practices and stakeholder expectations.
Identify and assess ESG risks and opportunities by analyzing potential environmental impacts, social issues, and governance concerns, as well as identifying positive sustainability practices.
Oversee ESG data collection, management, and quality assurance to ensures data is accurate, reliable, and consistent.
Develop and implement ESG reporting frameworks and methodologies to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Working with Corporate Sustainability Director to define and implement the JCDC ESG strategy, setting goals, targets, and action plans.
Lead the Benchmarking of JCDC\'s performance against industry peers and best practices.
Lead the execution of gap analysis to assess the current ESG performance of the company and identify areas for improvement.
Lead the materiality assessment and prioritize material issues.
Support in keeping abreast of ESG trends, regulatory developments, and best practices, and ensure that JCDC remains at the forefront of ESG in the real estate development sector.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams across the organization to integrate ESG considerations into decision-making.
Develop and implement employee training and engagement programs to promote ESG awareness and understanding of ESG issues and encourage employee participation in sustainability initiatives.
Lead the talent development initiatives for the assigned personnel, collaborating with discipline experts and thereby ensure the availability of talent to fit business requirements.
Coordinate the activities of the team to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the annual business plans, policies and procedures.
Support Corporate Sustainability Director in the development and implementation of ESG-related policies, procedures, programs, and initiatives, including environmental management systems, sustainable supply chain practices, and social impact initiatives.
Ensure the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of ESG systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost optimization and efficiency improvement.
Perform any related duties or assignments as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field from a reputable university. (Master’s degree preferred)
Certifications or additional training in ESG, sustainability, or related areas will be an added advantage.
Minimum 10 years of experience in ESG/Sustainability or related field.
Proficient in English language is a must, Arabic language is preferred.
