Location: Morocco - Casablanca
Role Purpose
Lead and manage the legal function across multiple emerging market countries, serving as a strategic business partner to drive commercial objectives while ensuring legal compliance and risk management. This role requires a proactive leader who can navigate complex regulatory environments while supporting business growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership
Act as a key strategic business partner to senior leadership, providing practical legal solutions that enable business objectives
Participate in strategic business decisions and contribute to the development of market strategies
Translate complex legal concepts into actionable business advice for stakeholders
Ability to manage Thoughtful Risk-Taking approach in participating in the decision process
Legal Leadership
Establish legal priorities aligned with business objectives
Design and implement legal strategies that support market growth while mitigating risks
Serve as a core member of the regional Legal Leadership Team
Risk Management
Identify, assess and mitigate legal risks across diverse regulatory environments
Provide guidance on complex regulatory matters affecting business operations
Commercial Support
Lead legal aspects of commercial transactions, partnerships, and business development initiatives
Support market access strategies, launches and pricing compliance
Provide counsel on marketing, promotional activities, and customer engagement
Support the data privacy network
Support corporate matters and related approvals
Compliance & Ethics
Ensure adherence to company policies, local laws, and industry regulations
Foster a culture of ethics and integrity across the organization
Support his/her EBI partner and the effective compliance programs developed within the Company
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Law degree required; additional business qualification preferred
6-10+ years of legal experience
Experience working in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry preferred
Demonstrated experience operating in emerging markets
Track record of successfully partnering with business teams to achieve objectives
Skills & Competencies
Strong business acumen and commercial mindset
Excellent leadership and team development capabilities
Strategic thinking with ability to balance legal risks and business opportunities
Cultural sensitivity and ability to operate effectively across diverse markets
