We are partnering with a well-established, high-performing manufacturing business to appoint a Plant Director to lead one of its key production sites. This is a critical leadership role, responsible for driving operational excellence, performance, and long-term site strategy. This position will suit a commercially aware, hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a track record of delivering results across complex manufacturing operations.
THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE RELOCATION TO ALGERIA
The Role As Plant Director, you will take full ownership of site performance, leading all aspects of operations including production, engineering, supply chain, quality, and health & safety. You will be responsible for:Leading and developing a high-performing leadership team across the site Driving operational efficiency, productivity, and cost optimisation Delivering continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, CI frameworks) Ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance Owning site P&L and delivering against financial targets Developing and executing long-term operational strategy Building a strong performance culture focused on accountability and results Collaborating with group leadership and key stakeholders across the business
The Candidate We are looking for a proven manufacturing leader with:Significant experience leading large-scale manufacturing or production sites A strong track record of improving operational performance and delivering measurable results Deep understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies Experience managing complex teams and driving cultural change Strong commercial acumen with P&L responsibility Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Fluency in both English and French (essential) Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred)
