We are looking for a Sustainability Intern to join our team.

Job Description:

· Prepare green building certification worksheets, lists of standards, product recommendations, and other pre-construction items.

· Track all Design submittals, design and construction documentation

· Respond to requests for additional information or advice regarding certification requirements

· Perform and/or manage building energy modelling

· Review construction documents for compliance with certification requirements.

· All the necessary monthly/weekly reports / presentations, etc. to be submitted to clint as per the specifications and progress at site.

· Manage the green building design and LEED/Estidama/QSAS documentation process as well as project specifications, calculations, plans and submittals for LEED/Estidama/QSAS compliance;

· Coordinate with/support contractors including MEP/Civil engineers;

· Conduct product and technology research related to sustainability;

· Contributions to regional publications, lectures, teaching;

· Personal development and plan to develop skills necessary for promotion to Principal Consultant.

· Sustainability Engineer is responsible for collating and uploading all LEED documentation related to the construction stage of the project, for providing monthly reports detailing progress against the LEED requirements for the project, and for liaising with consultant LEED Co-ordinator.

· To assure Sustainability Engineer performance on all aspects of the LEED certification process including documentation development, certification credit submissions and oversight on any following appeals or re-submissions of documents. The Sustainability person is the main point of contact between the project and consultant sustainability team.

· Review Material Submittal and Drawing as per LEED certification requirements

· Sustainability Engineer responsible to submit monthly report summarising the updates to the plan, and documenting measures taken to implement the plan through date-stamped photos, inspection logs or reports, descriptions of corrective action in response to problems.

· Conduct random (at least once in a week) joint inspections with QA/QC and HSE inspectors and report to the Sustainability Engineer.

· Maintain appropriate documentation & photography.

· Ensure adequate LEED plans are established, approved and implemented at site.

· Ensure adequate resources are available for the implementation and monitoring of the same.

· Ensuring all team members are adequately trained and are aware of the responsibilities.

· Monitor the implementation through weekly meetings at site with Project execution team & subcontractors.

· Performing energy modeling for green building projects;

· Conduct product and technology research related to sustainability;

· Contributions to regional publications, lectures, teaching;

· Personal development and plan to develop skills necessary for promotion to Principal Consultant.
