Job Description

The HSE Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the facilities management sector. This role involves implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety to protect employees, contractors, clients, and the public while maintaining operational efficiency.


  1. HSE Compliance and Policies: Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in alignment with local regulations and company standards.
    Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO, and other relevant safety and environmental standards.
  2. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits across facilities.
    Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  3. Incident Management: Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and develop preventive measures.
    Maintain accurate records of incidents and prepare reports for management.
  4. Training and Awareness: Deliver HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
    Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness through workshops, campaigns, and regular communication.
  5. Emergency Preparedness: Develop and oversee emergency response plans, including fire drills, evacuation plans, and first-aid protocols.
    Ensure all emergency equipment is functional and regularly inspected.
  6. Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor environmental aspects, such as waste management and energy consumption, to ensure sustainable practices.
    Prepare and submit regular HSE performance reports to management.
  7. Collaboration: Work closely with the operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to integrate HSE practices into daily activities.
    Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections and audits.
