About The Organization – Regional Tooling Center

Regional Tooling Center (RTC) is a part of the Gas & Power Services Operations within the Siemens Energy LLC and Its core responsibilities is to meet the Large Gas Turbine Power Station on-site outage demands for tooling/on-site machining equipment across the Siemens Energy product portfolio. This includes but not limited to service & maintenance of tools & equipment for Gas Turbines, Generators, Steam & Compressor equipment. In conjunction, the Regional Tool Centre (RTC) offers additional customized tooling solutions and other bespoke services to meet the requirements both internal partners and customers in the region.

About The Role

Tooling technician is a vital role at tooling facility; a successful candidate will have to perform hands-on inspection of tools & equipment to ensure their functional capability fits for purpose, includes but not limited to electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic tools. Tooling technician will report to Technical Service Manager and will work closely with team of Tooling Specialist & Helpers to foster a strong EHS culture. Should be flexible with working on-site and visiting project site within the region middle east.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the visual inspection of tools, equipment & devices
• Make recommendations for improvement & ensure quality of service within his domain
• Support Tooling Specialist in inspection & testing process
• Visit project site for the on-site inspection & testing of tools & equipment
• Build positive bridge between helpers & specialist within the facility
• Proactive in addressing potential EHS concerns and communicates safety measures to the team
• Participate actively in quality & EHS workshops & refreshers
• May involved in to support procurement Order Management team for tool procurement
• Ability and willingness to work over holidays, weekends and overtime as required by the forced events & emergency jobs
  
  
  

Job requirements

• At least 2 years of technical education, diploma in Electrical or Mechatronics.
• Minimum 2-years of experience in relevant field with excellent knowledge in service & repair.
• Exercise excellent customer service & communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills & ability to work with all levels of employees
• Experience in hydraulic equipment & working in a warehouse environment will be an add-on
• Must be computer literate and able to create spread sheets and reports.
• Understand office formats and procedures, including Microsoft Office Suite and Internet
