Capital Bank is looking an IT Security Specialist who will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of the bank's technology infrastructure and information assets. His/ her responsibilities will involve implementing security measures, monitoring for potential threats, and assisting in incident response efforts.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard the organization's IT systems and data.
- Monitor security alerts and logs to detect and respond to potential security incidents.
- Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security is integrated into new technology initiatives.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of security documentation and guidelines.
- Contribute to security awareness training to educate employees about best security practices.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of security incidents, working closely with the incident response team.
- Stay updated on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
- Assist in the implementation and management of security tools and technologies.
- Participate in regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with security standards.
- Provide support to senior security team members in various security-related tasks.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 2+ years’ of experience in IT security roles or related areas.
- Basic understanding of security principles, concepts, and best practices.
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies is a plus.
- Relevant security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ are beneficial.
