Job Description

What you will do:

  • Priorities and implements schedules relating to planned and predictive maintenance and repair activities for an allocated area. Establishes effective co-ordination with internal clients to ensure harmonization of activities.
  • Allocates requisite resources and monitors work progress in allocated area to determine effectiveness of deployment. Adopts a cost-conscious approach to utilization of approved resources. Includes manpower, spare parts, consumables, tools and equipment.
  • Ensures all approved procedures and manuals are current, readily available, understood and complied with by all technicians and assistants.
  • Acts as a source of technical expertise, employing high-level analytical and investigative techniques, in order to troubleshoot major and complex problems.
  • Monitors inventory levels to ensure availability of spare parts and consumables for planned activities. Assesses the performance and quality of spare parts and consumables and identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Conducts a range of technically based studies to assess performance against efficiency, down-time and safety parameters and makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Generates analytical activity reports and database information for allocated segment in order to monitor and track work progress, identify trends and maintain comprehensive service histories of all Company plant equipment and vehicles.
  • Provides discipline-specific support to other companies within the Group in order to meet their technical/maintenance needs.
  • Evaluates subordinates in order to identify levels of performance and training gaps. Recommends and implements training and development programs whilst guiding and assisting in the realization of individual potential.
  • Engenders a spirit of teamwork amongst members and encourages them to higher levels of performance through leadership and motivational initiatives.
  • Ensures the implementation and adherence to approved health, safety, environmental and quality procedures and systems that protect Company staff and assets and meet their community responsibilities.

What You Will Need

  • Have a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 - 7 years of
  • Fluent in English language.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of equipment and process in own area.
  • Strong knowledge of operating and safety procedures and standards.
  • Advanced Leadership skills.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
