We have an opening for a Category Head Executive with one of our well known perfume manufacturing clients located in Dubai(Jebel Ali).

Overview

Senior cross-functional NPD professional with over 15 years’ experience in product development & innovation with proven track record in delivering complex projects and successes within entrepreneurial and corporate brands within primarily the fragrance industry & secondary body care, hair care, colour cosmetics. Must have worked with established international brands in this category.

Job Responsibilities:

• Experience in driving strategy and execution of new product development. Responsible for maintaining a healthy new product pipeline to cater to defined market segments based on consumer trends and market research. Lead NPD processes, sourcing, prototyping, initial batch production to sales team/channel partner launch.
• Drive category growth with innovative products and maintain continuous portfolio analysis to drive sustainable growth and profitability. Directed and advised businesses on industry trends and

innovation in all areas covering facial skincare, bath & body, color cosmetics, gifting skincare,

personal & home fragrance.

• Strong network of decision makers including C-suite at global manufacturers, packaging suppliers, chemists/fragrance suppliers and regulatory authorities.
• Strong global exposure on consumer requirements and product development for different geographies like GCC, Africa, USA, Southeast Asia, UK & Europe etc.
• Extensive experience in total quality management, value engineering, vendor management, cost containment without compromising product quality or production process.
• Competition tracking, monitoring product trends updates, and analysis with direct competitors in terms of product pricing, packaging, new launch, promotion etc.

Requirement:

Academic: BBA, MBA is a plus with Product development background

Experience: 15+ years of experience

Knowledge: Having good experience in manufacturing, supply chain, regulatory and legal functions, efficacy testing, and claims generation/management.

Skills/ Abilities: Excellent leadership & interpersonal skills.

Competence: Creativity, Innovation & Commercial effectiveness

Liaises with: Internally - Product Development, QC, Purchase, Production & Marketing
