Furthermore, the entity aims to promote innovation in environmental conservation by driving research, community engagement, strategic partnerships and effective coordination with other stakeholders

Job Description

  • Ensure smooth operations, availability, and security of the organization's information technology infrastructure.
  • System and Network Administration: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, networks, and related hardware and software components. This includes managing user accounts, permissions, and access levels, as well as monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues.
  • Infrastructure Management: Ensure the organization's IT infrastructure is up-to-date, reliable, and secure. This involves performing regular system backups, implementing disaster recovery plans, and applying security patches and updates to protect against vulnerabilities
  • User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software problems, assisting with software installations and upgrades, and addressing user inquiries and requests
  • System Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's systems and data. This includes configuring firewalls, managing user access controls, conducting security audits, and staying updated on the latest security threats and best practices.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures. Generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and resource utilization to assist in decision-making and planning
The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science
  • Proven success in an IT role
  • Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching
  • Experience in project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing
  • Expertise in analyzing and repairing large-scale distributed systems; creating volumes and assigning them to servers; and remote replication
