HR Generalist - Eastern Hemisphere

Global Oil & Gas client headquartered out of Houston, USA, are looking to grow their HR function with an experienced HR Generalist reporting directly to the HR Director (Eastern Hemisphere).
  • Administers, implements, and improves human resources policies, procedures, and processes to meet organizational needs and to comply with local and national laws and regulations. Ensures that all employee related documentation and records are processed and maintained according to policy.
  • Supports, coordinates and implements talent attraction activities from beginning to end of the hiring cycle. Analyzes job functions, works with managers to edit or develop job descriptions and postings, screens candidates, generates offers, etc. Ensures hiring practices are in compliance with local and national regulatory requirements.
  • Delivers the on-boarding process for new employees. Facilitates pre-employment checks and testing and associated documentation. Conducts new hire orientations.
  • Manages the separation process and related documentation. Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons and makes recommendations to resolve issues and to reduce turnover if appropriate.
  • Coaches and educates staff on human resource management topics such as recruitment, employee relations, employee development, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Supports leadership in building and scaling up HR functions, systems and processes to support them with their business goals. Facilitates change, workforce planning, and organizational design.
  • Assists with internal investigations, and makes recommendations to management on employee-related issues. Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier. Represents the company at personnel related hearings and investigations.
  • Delivers and administers compensation programs, including the annual merit and bonus programs. Participates in annual wage and salary surveys as required. Analyzes the data and makes recommendations to establish the fair market value of jobs.
  • Organizes and conducts employee training programs as necessary.
  • Responsible for all visa related matters such as employment visa applications, visa renewals and cancellations.
  • Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned. Serves as backup on payroll and HRIS administration as necessary.

  • show proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • comprehend and communicate accurately, clearly and concisely in English.
  • Minimum 5 years in a similar role within a Global Organisation
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred. Specific coursework and/or skill-based training in human behavior.
  • Knowledge of recruiting and onboarding
  • Knowledge of local and national regulatory and legal requirements affecting assigned area.Understanding of business linkages and the ramifications.
