Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Executive to join our team in the promotional gifts industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business, building relationships with clients, and driving sales growth for our range of promotional products and branded merchandise. This role requires an individual with a strong sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the promotional products market.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Development:
- Identify and target potential clients (corporates, events, marketing agencies, etc.) interested in promotional gifts and branded merchandise.
- Generate new leads through cold calling, networking, email campaigns, and attending industry events.
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire new business and expand the customer base.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients.
- Understand client requirements and offer tailored promotional gift solutions that meet their branding and marketing needs.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through timely follow-ups and post-sale support.
- Sales & Revenue Generation:
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Negotiate pricing and terms, close deals, and follow through on all sales agreements.
- Market Research & Trend Analysis:
- Stay updated on the latest trends in promotional products, merchandising, and branding strategies.
- Monitor competitor activities and identify new opportunities to differentiate our offerings.
- Provide feedback to the marketing team regarding customer preferences and market demands.
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to ensure that client orders are fulfilled to specifications and delivered on time.
- Collaborate with the design team to create customized solutions for clients based on their brand guidelines.
- Reporting & Administration:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline management using CRM tools.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, client feedback, and market trends for management.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably within the promotional products or branded merchandise industry.
- Strong knowledge of promotional gifts, merchandise branding, and customization processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships with clients and a strong focus on customer service.
- Results-oriented with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and within a team.
