Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior Instrumentation Engineer to join our award-winning team based in Amman, Jordan.


This critical role will work as part of the Infrastructure team, leading the design, development, and implementation of instrumentation systems for industrial projects, including those in sectors such as water and wastewater, power generation and other utilities. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, providing technical expertise and ensuring that all instrumentation aspects of projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the client's specifications and industry standards.


We envisage success in this role to include:

  • Production, verification and assessment of technical designs, plans, and associated documentation during the different stages of Infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant engineering and QMS standards and project requirements.
  • Assisting in managing and coordinating multi-discipline design teams working on infrastructure projects to ensure quality and timely input.
  • Carrying out feasibility and optioneering studies.
  • Developing and preparings design drawings, reports, design reports, technical and materials specifications.
  • Resolving design problems using both manual and computer methods with minimal supervision.
  • Assisting in obtaining design approval from authorities/agencies.
  • Maintaining quality control and quality standards in all personal work output, checking computations, designs, drawings, plans, estimates and reports prepared for comprehensiveness, technical accuracy and sound application of engineering principles and standards.
  • Managing activities within own field of responsibility.
  • Communicating effectively at all levels to support collaborative work practices and achievement of team and project goals.
  • Contributing to the effective functioning of the team by identifying with and participating in the attainment of team and project objectives, communicating, and sharing knowledge.


To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or other Infrastructure related course and more than 8 years of experience in a similar position. Having a Registration at TMICE level or the equivalent thereof and/or ICE membership at Technician Member level is desirable.


Furthermore, you should demonstrate:


  • Experience in operating in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Good knowledge of infrastructure design practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and discipline-specific software.
  • Demonstrates detailed understanding of design, construction, and project management concepts.
  • Sound working knowledge and familiarity with current local and global industry practices and standards.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.
