Job Title: Business Unit Manager – Oil and Gas Technologies and Equipment Manufacturing
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Reports To: Managing Director
Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute business strategies to achieve the goals and objectives of the unit, aligned with the overall company vision.
- Identify new market opportunities, drive business growth, and build a competitive presence in the oil and gas technologies sector.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business performance and ensure continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee the design, manufacturing, and delivery of oil and gas equipment such as process skid packages, well-testing units, cementing units, pressure vessels, and technological products.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, UAE regulations, and global industry benchmarks.
- Manage end-to-end operations, from procurement and production to quality control and timely delivery of products.
Collaboration and Representation
- Collaborate with international technology providers to integrate advanced solutions into the company’s offerings.
- Represent the organization in the UAE market as the primary point of contact for international technology providers.
- Attend oil and gas trade conferences and exhibitions to showcase the company’s capabilities, establish partnerships, and stay updated on industry trends.
Team Management
- Lead a multidisciplinary team, including engineering, production, quality assurance, and sales professionals.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the business unit.
- Conduct regular training and professional development programs to enhance team skills.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with ADNOC group companies and Service Providers (SLB, HALLIBURTON, BAKER HUGES, TAQA….) other key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs, offering customized solutions to meet their requirements.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional service and after-sales support.
Financial Oversight
- Develop and manage the unit’s annual budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-efficiency.
- Prepare and present financial and operational reports to senior management.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and delivery timelines.
Innovation and Technology
- Drive innovation in product design and manufacturing processes, leveraging the latest technological advancements.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, technological updates, and market dynamics to maintain a competitive edge.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of ADNOC standards, UAE regulatory requirements, and international codes (API, ASME, ISO, etc.).
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex business challenges.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing client relationships and vendor partnerships.
- Financial acumen to manage budgets, forecast revenues, and optimize costs.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and other business management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to represent the organization at industry trade conferences and exhibitions.
