Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services essential to our operations. The Purchasing Officer will ensure that all purchases are made in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining high standards of quality and supplier relations.
Responsibilities:
- Order Management: Track orders from inception to delivery, ensuring timely receipt of materials and services. Maintain updated records of purchase orders, delivery schedules, and invoices.
- Request for Quotation (RFQ): Issue RFQs to suppliers, analyze and compare offers, and negotiate the best terms for price, delivery, and quality.
- Logistics Coordination: Arrange shipments and coordinate logistics with suppliers. Follow up on any delays or rescheduled orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Supplier Relations: Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues that arise promptly. Negotiate contracts and terms to secure the best value for the company.
- Compliance: Adhere to and enforce the company's procurement policies and procedures. Ensure all purchases are made in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Record Keeping: Keep detailed and organized records of all purchasing activities, including supplier information, order details, delivery statuses, and contract terms.
- Cost Control: Monitor and manage purchasing costs, seeking ways to reduce expenses without compromising quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field..
- 0-2 years of experience
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
