Network Engineer

This is a full-time on-site role for a Network Engineer located in Amman. The Network Engineer will be responsible for supporting the ICT infrastructure by installing, configuring, and maintaining network services, hardware, and software. For our organization, this role includes tasks such as:


  • Managing servers as well as systems backup and restore protocols.
  • Undertaking routine preventive measures and implementing, maintaining, and monitoring network security and performance.
  • Perform analysis and resolution of faults on the network infrastructure and associated systems.
  • Providing documentation of network development, problem analysis, and resolution logs.
  • Designing and implementing future ICT developments and undertaking projects.
  • Provide training and technical support for users with varying levels of ICT knowledge and competence.


Job Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree or its foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar areas; or bachelor’s degree in engineering with specialization or post-graduation in Information Technology.


Individual attitudes:

  • Must demonstrate the ability to work with little direct supervision to meet deadlines and must be comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment. Strong organizational, interpersonal, written/verbal communication skills are required.
  • Must have a strong understanding of Networking protocols and services, in particular autonomous systems, and Internet routing architectures.
  • Strong analytical abilities and professional office experience are needed.
  • Excellent listening, speaking, reading & writing skills in English Language


Experience and skills:

  • Operational Systems: Windows, UNIX and UNIX-Like, Linux, FreeBSD
  • Advanced Linux System Administration.
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud infrastructure and architecture.
  • Experience with identity and access management (IAM) systems, including OpenLDAP and SSO solutions.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Data Center telecommunications infrastructure
  • Networking: IP routing and switching solutions; LAN, WAN and TCP/IP; traffic engineering (MPLS and MPLS-TE); Quality of Service (DiffServ, IntServ, Premium IP and Constraint-based Routing); Inter-AS routing (BGP, MBGP); IPv6 architecture, implementation, and operation; and networking security.
  • Desirable Vendor Certifications: Cisco Systems Certifications, and/or Juniper Systems Certifications.
