ob Title: Head Chef - Indian Cuisine
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in preparing delicious and authentic Indian cuisine. The successful candidate will have a passion for Indian food, excellent culinary skills, and the ability to manage a team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the kitchen team in food preparation, presentation, and plating
- Develop and implement new recipes and menus to keep up with culinary trends
- Manage kitchen operations, including ordering supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety standards
- Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff
- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to achieve business goals
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in an Indian restaurant
- In-depth knowledge of Indian cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent culinary skills, including food presentation and plating
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Food Safety Certification and knowledge of HACCP
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Hospitality or Culinary Arts
- Experience with kitchen management software
- Knowledge of local health and safety regulations
