Job Summary


• Follow up on all matters related to factories and document them according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

• Oversee the daily production operations in the factory and ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards.

• Ensure that the set production goals are achieved, with attention to quality and efficiency.

• The production officer at Dar Al Dawa is responsible for monitoring and reporting daily production activities across the company’s factories, ensuring the efficiency of all operations, meeting GMP standards, and adhering to the set production objectives. This role includes preparing comprehensive reports, optimizing processes, and preparing the necessary documentation to ensure smooth workflow and regulatory compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities


• Coordinate between the QA department and factory managers regarding Change Control requests issued by all company departments.

• Request specification definitions for primary and secondary packaging materials based on country-specific standards.

• Follow up on changes in product registrations in various countries.

• Ensure quality by monitoring the production process to confirm product quality according to approved standards.

• Analyze performance and review production data to identify opportunities for improvement and increase efficiency.

• Communicate and coordinate with other departments such as quality and maintenance to ensure the continuity of the production process efficiently.

• Track and monitor production activities in all factories to ensure that operations align with the production plan.

• Develop and maintain an accurate reporting system that captures daily, weekly, and monthly production performance.

• Supervise the accurate and timely completion of all required documentation, including production records, material usage, and quality control forms.

• Ensure that production goals are on track, and implement corrective actions when goals are not met.

• Strictly maintain adherence to GMP in all factories.

• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to compliance.

• Work closely with the maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain departments to ensure smooth production operations.

• Support production teams in resolving any issues that arise during production, from material shortages to equipment malfunctions.

• Adhere to health and safety standards to ensure the application of occupational health and safety standards and comply with the instructions and regulations related to the pharmaceutical industry.


Education Level:


• Diploma in Pharmacy or an equivalent qualification.

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or an equivalent qualification.

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemistry (or any related field) or an equivalent qualification.


Required Experience:


• 0-3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry, or a recent graduate.


Required Languages:


• Proficiency in Arabic and a good level of English.


Career Knowledge:


• Proficient in computer use.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

• Solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Lean Manufacturing principles.

• Excellent skills in reporting and analysis.

• Proficiency in using production tracking and reporting systems (such as ERP and MES).

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Required Training:


• Training in communication skills.

• Training in problem-solving and the ability to solve problems.

• Training in time management and teamwork.
