Job Description
Responsible for demand planning, capacity validation and cargo steering and control for all trades in the defined geographic and network scope including shuttle/feeder/relay with the objective of driving end to end utilization, service delivery and optimization.
This role requires taking overall ownership for demand planning, capacity validation and cargo steering for all trades for assigned geographic and network scope.
- Conduct regular, quarterly (monthly if needed) demand planning and validation of capacity requirements to/from shuttle ports, incl. liaising with Coastal Fulfilment teams on rightsizing and/or trade-offs. This includes validation of planned cargo mix across all relevant trades.
- When required prioritize space on constrained shuttles across trades.
- Monitor booking uptake against expectations, send demand signals to mainliner uptake and pricing managers and adjust the systems including triggering the needed control mechanisms.
- Provide visibility and set direction towards overseas’ market team on import flows based on bottleneck and facilitate solution together with relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate additional capacity requirement as needed with Coastal Fulfilment team.
- Collaborate with respective stakeholders on contingency management and cargo overflows.
Continuously analyses and share insights regarding ongoing optimization of the shuttle planning process and tools.
