Manager, HR Business Partner

Job description:

OB PURPOSE:

To serve and provide recommendations to management on human resources related issues, with a focus on developing integrated solutions and formulating partnerships across the HR function in order to deliver value-added services to management and employees with respect to business objectives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Policies, Processes & Procedures

- Recommends improvements to departmental policy and directs the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of HR activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost- effective service to customers.

Day- to-day operations

-Supervises the day-to-day operations of the HR section to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes, and procedures.

Job Specific Accountabilities

- Monitors the Human Resources department performance against pre-set performance goals to ensure that progress is being made in the desirable direction and preventive/ corrective actions are taken accordingly

- Supervises recruitment and selection processes to ensure the effectiveness of the process, in addition to recommending improvements in order to better meet the needs of the company.

- Disseminates instructions and information regarding administrative, organizational, and technical decisions necessary to fulfilling endorsed plans and executive programs in order to meet the needs of the company.

- Manages performance appraisals for subordinates according to planned schedules and recommending necessary actions in order to improve upon applied practices.

Conducts periodic meetings with subordinates' in order to ensure that priorities are clear, and workflow is running smoothly in line with expectations.

- Develops business goals and recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company.

-Analyses trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team in order to develop solutions, programs, and policies which effectively impact the business.

- Delivers both strategic and tactical HR support programs to employees and managers, including performance management, organizational design, learning and development, compensation programs and employee relations in order to support the needs of employees.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with preferably a Masters

Minimum Experience:

6-8 years relevant experience in Human Resources
