Job Description

Responsible for the day to day running of the work schedule.

• Provide support to Project Team in the preparation of Plans, drawings etc. required for the execution of project activities during different phases.

• Submit weekly and monthly progress reports to client regarding material procurement status, fabrication activities and erection progress.

• Coordinating with other departments, contractors, vendors for establishing methods for implementation of engineering packages, follow up contractor sourcing material, approval of contractor documents etc.

• Preparation of close outreports for contracts and engineering packages

Preparation of cost estimates, MTO and manpower requirements for the project change/variation orders.

• Provide required E&I bid support such as constructability study, method statement, manpower requirement, and preparation of MTO and cost estimate.

• Assist in selection of discipline personnel assigned to projects.

• Checking, verifying and reviewing the IFC drawings and other attachments associated with electrical & instrumentation aspects.

• Sound knowledge of the application of engineering to plant constructability as applied to construction methods and materials.

• Interpretation of P& ID, lay-out diagram, control circuit diagrams.

• Leading team of workforce effectively & efficiently. Monitoring of work progress to ensure optimum utilization of resources and obtain maximum productivity.

• Schedule weekly meeting with the client and also with supervisors, foreman and discuss projects status / issues and other related matters.

• Installation experience for all kinds of electrical & instrument equipment’s at different Oil & Gas Industries.

• Monitoring the correct installation of the electrical & instrument devices

• Perform the loop checking, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

• Maintain daily progress report & preparation of two week look-ahead schedule.

• Ensure proper interdisciplinary coordination and effective communication on among project team.

• Excellent technical know-how about various E&I activities like DCS, ESD, MMS, PLC & SCADA systems and all other field instruments such as Foundation Field Bus, Smart Transmitter, instrument calibration, process impulse tubing,

• Review and corrections / modifications and approve the pre-commission and commissioning checklist/procedures and subsequently organize for the required resources.

• Review and check, compare and verify between the IFC documents and site survey reports for the constructability aspects as well as for any technical and commercial variation / deviation involved and subsequently notify and clarify with clients

• Review and finalize project presentations, engineering deliverables, compilation of tender package, organize technical bid evaluation process followed by initiatiation and execution of post order vendor documentation review / approval

• Conduct the TRA meetings with client and project management team and contribute in identifying, assessing and mitigating the risks to appropriate level, as per standard HSE norms.

• Review project schedule including material and manpower planning as well as for sufficient and adequate resources such as manpower, materials, equipments for the project and make changes / modification, if required to achive timely delivery of the projects

• Make site visits for planning execution of works with site team as required.

• Carryout the project execution at onshore/offshore installations as per company requirements.

• Ensure contractors valid security passes, manpower and equipment certification prior mobilization to site.

• Arrange and Follow up with contractors manpower & equipment demobilization.

• Review and offer contractors bills for payments.

• Provide support to project team for budget allocation and expenditure and related issues as identified during the different phases of the execution stage.

• Ensure execution compliance with the schedules, budget and contract obligations and report deviations and constrains.

• Feedback to team members for improvement of work methodology.

• Liaise / follow up with contractors to expedite, material & resources delivery inline with planned schedules in order to meet execution plan.

• Preparation of technical bid queries, preparation of tender document deliverables, selection of suitable instruments for a given application, preparation of instruments schedule, preparation of instrument specification.
