Our contract administration team is responsible for managing contracts on our projects in MENA. We partner with major contractors, owners and project developers to manage contracts and ensure successful completion of the projects, maximizing their profitability and minimizing claims and disputes on iconic projects that include airports, bridges, power plants, dams, roads, factories, hospitals, high-rise towers, residential cities, metros, hotels, resorts, malls, universities and cultural centers.

About the role
This is a mid-level role that reports to the CEO. You’ll play a crucial role in performing contract administration for our clients and supervising a team of contract administrators.
This is a full-time role in our office in Amman, Jordan.
Responsibilities
- Examination of contract documents
- Identification and evaluation of unacceptable risks prior to bid submission
- Identification of rights and obligations of the parties under the contract, particularly those under a bespoke form of contract
- Identification of ambiguities and contradictions that may give rise to conflict, and offering the most reasonable interpretation
- Issuing notices to ensure the client is not time-barred from recovery
- Drafting of contractual correspondence during the execution phase
- Recognition and assessment of variation orders in a proactive manner
- Examination of the project schedule
- Preparation of extension of time and prolongation cost claim
- Contractual management of subcontracts, responses to claims, preparation of counterclaims
Preferred experience
- Experience on construction sites and familiarity with site operations
- Understanding various procurement routes for project delivery
- 10 - 15 years of relevant experience
- Thorough knowledge of FIDIC’s Conditions of Contract, particularly “Conditions of Contract for Works of Civil Engineering Construction” and “Conditions of Contract for Construction for Building and Engineering Works Designed by the Employer”
- Understanding of critical path scheduling techniques
- Bachelor of science degree in engineering, quantity surveying, or a closely related subject accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB)
- Experience in dispute resolution is a plus
- PMP is a plus
