About the Role:
We are seeking to hire a Senior Software Support Engineer with minimum 4-5 years of experience to lead and enhance Wileys Research platform support and development efforts. As a Senior Support Engineer, you will take a proactive role in maintaining the health of the production system and provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for complex technical issues. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior members, and drive continuous improvement in the support processes.
How you will make an impact:
- Lead technical maintenance, support, and troubleshooting activities for the application.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, DevOps, and service teams to ensure seamless support.
- Identify root causes of issues and implement robust solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in resolving complex problems.
- Recommend process enhancements and actively participate in process refinement.
What we look for:
- 4-5 years of experience in software support or developing/testing web-based enterprise applications.
- Expertise in tools and technologies like ServiceNow, Dynatrace, Kibana/Elasticsearch, or any programming language.
- Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or any programming language.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently, proactively solve problems, and deliver high-quality results.
- Expert level of troubleshooting, process refinement and triaging skills along with prior experience in supporting interface technologies such as web services and the related protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven ability to proactively solve problems and recommend solutions, fix issues, and suggest workarounds
