Operations and Facility Manager

Ferdous Amman (Subsidiary of IVI Holding) is excited to announce an opportunity for a (Operations and Facility Manager) for VIA Amman Project in Amman, Jordan. Key Responsibilities:

Facility Maintenance and Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of facility management, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, elevators, and general building maintenance.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to ensure uninterrupted mall operations.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and aesthetics of the mall, including landscaping, waste management, and sanitation.

Operations Management:

  • Supervise day-to-day mall operations, facilities and services.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency
  • Monitor and manage utilities, safety systems, and energy usage to optimize cost efficiency.

Tenant Relations:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants on operational issues.
  • Address tenant concerns, manage service requests, and ensure lease compliance.
  • Coordinate tenant move-ins and move-outs, ensuring minimal disruption to mall operations.

Security and Safety:

  • Manage security teams and systems to ensure a safe environment for shoppers, staff, and tenants.
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols, fire safety procedures, and emergency response plans.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and codes, including health and safety standards.

Vendor Management:

  • Liaise with external service providers, such as cleaning, security, and maintenance contractors, ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party vendors.

Budget and Reporting:

  • Prepare and manage the annual operations and facility management budget.
  • Monitor and control expenses to ensure they are within the allocated budget.
  • Generate operational and facility management reports, providing updates to senior management.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in facilities management or operations, preferably in a retail or commercial environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, as well as local compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in facility management software and MS Office Suite.
