We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ServiceNow Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Service Management (ITSM) and a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform. As a ServiceNow Administrator, you will be responsible for configuring, customizing, and maintaining the ServiceNow platform to meet the evolving needs of the organization. This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system functionality and drive continuous improvement.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day administration, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the ServiceNow platform
- Ensure the stability and performance of ServiceNow by monitoring system performance, reviewing logs, and addressing potential issues
- Configure and customize ServiceNow applications, workflows, forms, and reports to meet business requirements
- Develop and implement custom scripts, business rules, UI policies, and client scripts to enhance platform functionality
- Develop and manage Intergrations with third-party applications
- Provide technical support for end-users, including troubleshooting and resolving platform-related issues
- Guide and mentor junior employees to develop their ServiceNow skills and capabilities
- Foster a collaborative learning environment by sharing best practices, providing hands-on training, and supporting the professional growth of team members
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the ServiceNow platform
- Stay current with ServiceNow releases and updates, assessing potential benefits and impacts on existing configurations
- Maintain data integrity and security within the ServiceNow platform by implementing role-based access controls and monitoring user activity
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, data protection regulations, and company policies
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base, documenting technical system configurations, customizations, workflows, and processes for reference and audit purposes
- Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into system performance, user activity, and service metrics
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 3+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Administrator or in a similar role
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow modules including ITSM, CSM, SPM and CMDB
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, XML)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required
- Additional ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist) are a plus
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in a DevOps environment
- Experience in ITIL processes and IT Service Management best practices
- Experience with ServiceNow Service Portal, Mobile, and Virtual Agent
- Experience with ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API)
- Experience with integration tools and REST/SOAP web services
