What ACES is Looking For?

ACES is looking for IT Officer to join the team in the Corporate Headquarter - Jordan.


Job Summary:

Responsible for the operation and administration of the company's internal networks, servers, e-mail system and network security systems. Install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware/ software faults and solve technical problems, either over the phone or face to face, and provide hardware and software maintenance, training and consultation, and recommendations about future planning and development of resources.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible on implementing Group IT policies and procedures within the city IT environment and adhere to them.
  • Configure the computer systems and update them with latest software upgrades and security measures and as per Group IT procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and solve all software, hardware, and network related problems.
  • Monitor software, hardware, security, and connectivity issues of the company.
  • Perform regular performance and efficiency checks of computers.
  • Maintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance.
  • Provide network accounts and passwords as required.
  • Prepare and install all needed workstations for City users with all required application and software.
  • Manage and support City users account management such as add, modify, and delete user accounts and groups.
  • Advise staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status.
  • Conduct periodic security awareness sessions for local employees.
  • Ensure hardware is stripped and secured before disposal.
  • Manage IT asset lists and IT cost within the branch.
  • Responsible on IT procurement procedures.
  • Responsible on implementing backup and restore policy as per Group IT standards within the branch.
  • Escalate any issues to Group CTO as per Group incident handling policy.
  • Any duties or responsibilities assigned by the management.


Reporting To:

This position will directly report to the IT Department Manager/ IT Section Head.


Job Requirements:


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or any related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in the field of Information Technology.


Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Troubleshooting.

  • Networking Troubleshooting.
  • Windows Troubleshooting.
  • Ms. Troubleshooting.
  • Office Application.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • understanding of network architectures, hardware components, and configuration best practices.
  • Ability to maintain network infrastructures, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
  • Knowledge in managing and maintaining databases, ensuring data integrity, availability, and performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices, including threat detection, prevention, and response.
  • Ability to protect information systems from unauthorized access and attacks.
  • Skills in securing data and applications through encryption, access controls, and regular security assessments.
  • Basic understanding of software development practices.
