Job Title: Costing and Finance Controller

Location: Dubai, UAE

Company Overview: We are a prominent trading company specializing in electromechanical and spare parts, dedicated to providing high-quality products and exceptional service to our clients. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Costing and Finance Controller to join our finance team. This role is critical to ensuring accurate cost management, financial reporting, and compliance, utilizing Odoo and Tally ERP systems.

Job Summary: The Costing and Finance Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including cost control, budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Odoo and Tally ERP, with a proven ability to optimize financial processes and support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cost Management:

• Develop and maintain costing models for products, ensuring accurate and up-to-date cost information.
• Analyze cost variances and provide recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.
• Monitor and control overhead expenses, ensuring alignment with budgeted targets.
• Coordinate with the procurement and production teams to optimize cost efficiency.

2. Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and present financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Generate regular financial reports to provide insights into company performance and profitability.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Conduct financial analysis to support management in strategic decision-making.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop realistic budgets.
• Prepare financial forecasts and projections, updating them as needed based on actual performance.
• Monitor budget adherence and provide variance analysis to management.

4. ERP Systems Management:

• Oversee the implementation and utilization of Odoo and Tally ERP systems for financial management.
• Ensure accurate and efficient data entry and reporting through the ERP systems.
• Provide training and support to finance team members on ERP system usage.
• Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot and resolve any system issues.

5. Compliance and Audit:

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
• Prepare for and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit queries.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records for audit purposes.

6. Financial Controls:

• Implement and monitor internal financial controls to safeguard company assets.
• Review and approve financial transactions, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Conduct regular reviews of financial processes and procedures, recommending improvements where necessary.

7. Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with the senior management team to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with other departments, including sales, procurement, and operations, to ensure financial objectives are met.
• Communicate financial results and cost analyses to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional qualification such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Costing and Finance Controller, preferably in the trading or electromechanical industry.
• Strong proficiency in Odoo and Tally ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on cost control and financial performance.
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Additional Information:

• Working Hours: 9:30 AM to 5:30 PC
• Salary: INR 60,000 - INR 80,000
