Lead Quality Engineer

Job Purpose:

Enhance the quality of all aspects of work in JORAMCO by leveraging a professional system to ensure the highest level of quality and independent surveillance of the Safety and Quality (S&Q) Policy, adhering to necessary approvals.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and lead audits to ensure compliance with airworthiness standards and regulations (CARC, EASA, FAA).
  • Review and recommend updates to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Lead audit teams and ensure departmental compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor and address audit reports and findings.
  • Develop and deliver training materials for Quality and other departments.
  • Support discrepancy reports, calibration, and tooling.
  • Analyze inspection methods and equipment for quality control.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Implement standards to enhance operational productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in corporate communications to support JORAMCO’s quality mission.
  • Participate in environmental protection programs and report non-conformities.


Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Holder of B1, B2, or C Ratings Aircraft Maintenance License, or Component Certifying staff or specialized services qualification.
  • Accredited training in S&Q or Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in MRO/Aviation industries.
  • Extensive knowledge of quality auditing and safety investigation processes related to aircraft continuing airworthiness.
  • Experience with aircraft maintenance practices, management, and Part 145 Quality organization.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, Visio).
  • Good working knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) implementation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills.
  • Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Very good command of the English language.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and present safety and quality data.
  • Proficiency in using Safety and Quality tools and software.
  • Ability to write concise and precise technical reports.
