Job Description
The Financial Analyst will support the construction company by providing financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning to optimize project and company performance. This role requires a thorough understanding of financial principles, project cost management, and industry-specific challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models to support project and corporate decision-making. Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights and recommendations.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Monitor project budgets and prepare variance reports.
- Project Cost Analysis: Evaluate project costs, profitability, and financial performance. Monitor project expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Provide detailed analysis of financial performance to senior management.
- Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies. Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario planning for key projects.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather relevant financial data and provide insights. Present financial findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Assist in the preparation for audits and ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
- System Improvement: Work with the finance team to improve financial processes, systems, and tools. Implement best practices in financial analysis and reporting.
