Location: Offshore Office Base in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Project Duration: 6 months (Salary Negotiable)

About the Project: Project aims to import electricity from the national power grid to offshore centralized power hubs using HVDC-VSC subsea transmission. The cable will run from onshore to an offshore island where power converters will be installed. This initiative will enable offshore facilities to adopt energy-efficient power sources by connecting to the nearest centralized power hub via HVAC connections.

Role Overview: Azul Power is seeking a highly skilled Conceptual Engineer to undertake the comprehensive scope of work for Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing necessary conceptual engineering and survey works, finalizing system configurations, site locations, subsea cable routes, power system studies, HSE studies, ESIA, and cost estimations. The engineer will report directly to the project manager and deliver detailed reports for site selection and civil & structural studies.

Scope of Work:

Site Selection Study and Civil & Structural Studies

• Prepare Site Selection Study Report:
• Onshore station
• Offshore station
• Layout Studies:
• Develop high-level layout drawings for new facilities or extensions of existing facilities on Island.
• Civil & Structural Report:
• Identify necessary works for island compaction, shore protection, and stabilization where new facilities are proposed.
• Deliverables:
• Inception report.
• Draft site selection study and civil & structural studies for ADNOC’s approval.
• Final site selection study and civil & structural studies approved by ADNOC.
• Scope of Work (SOW) for Geotechnical Investigation Survey for onshore and offshore island plot areas.
• SOW for Ground/Soil Improvement.
• SOW for Topographical and Underground Detection Survey onshore and offshore island plot areas.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural/Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
• Field Surveys, Topographic Surveys
• Proven track record in conceptual engineering, site selection, and civil & structural studies.
• Familiarity with HSE studies, ESIA, and power system studies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality reports within specified timelines.
