Lambda FZE is seeking a Crude Oil Trading Business Executive to spearhead our operations in Dubai. He will be responsible for implementing the board’s strategy manifested in an annual business plan developed in conjunction with the board. The candidate should hold an engineering degree from a first tier technical institution such as IIT . A business degree from a first-tier institution such as IIM is a plus. The candidate is expected to have extensive experience in the crude oil trading, or any related experience along the value chain in the Oil and Gas industry. This role requires exceptional leadership skills and the malleability to communicate with all stakeholders (refineries, O&G upstream companies, shipping companies, …).

Responsibilities:

1. Implementation of Business Plan:

• Alongside Lambda FZE’s board, the candidate will help develop an annual, and workable business plan.
• Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand market reach and diversify revenue streams.

2. Logistics Management:

• Oversee all aspects of crude oil transportation, including vessel chartering, scheduling, and logistics coordination.
• Manage relationships with shipping agents, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of crude oil to client refineries.

3. Client Refinery Relations:

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with client refineries in India, understanding their requirements and preferences.
• Coordinate with clients to schedule deliveries, manage inventory levels, and address any operational or logistical issues.

4. Storage Facility Management:

• Manage crude oil storage facilities in Dubai, ensuring proper inventory management, maintenance, and security protocols.
• Optimize storage capacity utilization and coordinate inventory transfers as needed to meet client demand.

5. Financial Transactions and Banking:

• Oversee banking transactions related to crude oil sales, including letters of credit, payments, and financial documentation.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal controls for financial transactions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from IIT, IIM, or equivalent prestigious institution. Advanced degree (MBA, MSc) preferred.
• Minimum of 7-20 years of experience in the crude oil or any related industry, with a focus on operations management, logistics, and business development.
• Strong understanding of crude oil transportation logistics, including vessel chartering, shipping regulations, and port operations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Leadership qualities with a strategic mindset, problem-solving skills, and a track record of delivering results.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge languages spoken in India is a plus.
• Must be based in Dubai or willing to relocate.
