About the Firm
We are a leading audit and advisory firm based in Beirut, providing professional services in audit, accounting, tax, and compliance to clients across multiple sectors. We are currently expanding our team and seeking an experienced Accountant with a strong technical background to join us as an Entry-Level Auditor.
Position Summary
The Entry-Level Auditor will support the audit team in finalizing client accounts, preparing financial statements, and ensuring full compliance with Lebanese tax and NSSF regulations. This role is ideal for an experienced accountant ready to transition into the audit field, with a focus on client liaison, reporting accuracy, and timely filing of all declaration forms. The position also includes data-entry and bookkeeping tasks as part of the audit preparation process.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Year-End Closings
• Assist the clients to perform full year-end closing procedures for their accounts.
• Review and reconcile trial balances, general ledgers, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of accounting records.
2. Financial Reporting
• Review and reconstruct the financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) in accordance with Lebanese GAAP and IFRS where applicable.
• Assist in the preparation of audit-ready documentation for client reviews.
3. Tax & NSSF Declarations
• Prepare and file:
o Income Tax and VAT declarations
o Withholding Tax
o Salaries & Wages Income Tax
o NSSF declarations including monthly or quarterly statements, indemnities, and employee records
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of all statutory filings.
4. Client Liaison
• Communicate with clients to collect financial data and documentation.
• Clarify inquiries and support clients in fulfilling tax and accounting requirements.
• Assist in finalizing client accounts for year-end closing and reporting purposes.
5. Data Entry & Bookkeeping
• Input financial transactions into accounting systems with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain and update digital and physical financial records in line with audit preparation needs.
• Ensure that documentation is well-organized and compliant for review.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to multiple client accounts or industries.
• Strong knowledge of Lebanese Tax Laws, NSSF regulations, and basic IFRS.
• Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or equivalent); knowledge of audit software is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and data-entry platforms.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and time management.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to deal with clients and team members.
• Fluency in Arabic and English; French is an asset.
