Position Overview:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchasing & Inventory Controller (Furniture and Interior Design) located in our factory at Mkalles.
The candidate will be responsible for effectively tracking purchasing orders, managing stock levels, controlling purchasing expenses, adding data to the inventory system, and coordinating with other departments to ensure efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Track purchasing orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
• Manage stock levels by monitoring inventory levels, identifying shortages, and conducting regular stock checks.
• Control purchasing expenses by negotiating with suppliers, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and optimizing purchasing processes.
• Add and update data in the inventory system to accurately reflect stock levels and transactions.
• Coordinate with other departments, including production, sales, and accounting, to ensure smooth operations and communication.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize inventory levels.
• Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues, track shipments, and manage vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile inventory records and track inventory costs.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, preferably in a furniture company.
• Proven experience in inventory control, purchasing, or supply chain management in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
