Position Summary / Job Brief:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Projects Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team in Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing mechanical engineering aspects of projects across different industries, ensuring technical excellence, efficiency, and safety in line with project specifications and client requirements.


Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
A Master’s degree is a plus.


Required Experience & Certificates:

Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 4 years in a project management role, ideally within engineering consultancy or construction industries.
PMP, or other relevant certifications in project management or mechanical engineering is a plus.


Required Skills:

-Strong knowledge of mechanical systems design (HVAC, piping, equipment).
-Proficient in using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) and engineering design tools.
-Familiarity with industry standards and codes (ISO, ASME, BS, etc.).
-Experience in managing projects from concept to completion.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
-Fluent in Arabic, English, and French (written and spoken) is required.


Tasks and Duties:

-Lead and oversee the mechanical engineering aspects of multiple projects from design phase to implementation, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
-Provide technical leadership in the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, structural, and equipment) for various projects, including the preparation of detailed technical drawings, specifications, and calculations.
-Work closely with cross-functional teams (including electrical engineers, civil engineers, project managers, and clients) to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other project elements.
-Ensure that all mechanical designs and systems meet the required standards, codes, and regulations, as well as the highest industry quality standards.
-Provide ongoing technical support during the execution and installation phases, troubleshooting and resolving any mechanical-related issues on-site.
-Assist in the procurement of mechanical equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with project specifications, budgets, and schedules.
-Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical reports, progress reports, and project files.
-Monitor and enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and protocols to ensure safe working conditions on-site.
-Liaise with clients to understand project requirements, Provide updates, and deliver technical presentations or reports.
-Stay up-to-date with the latest mechanical engineering technologies and industry trends, and suggest improvements in project execution and design processes
