Position Overview

The DCDP (Demi Chef de Partie) at the Asian Kitchen Fine Dining is a key culinary position responsible for assisting in the smooth operation of the kitchen, specializing in Asian cuisine. The DCDP will work closely with the head chef and kitchen team to ensure high-quality food service and uphold the establishment's reputation for excellence.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily kitchen operations, focusing on Asian kitchen preparations.
  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  • Monitor and maintain food quality, presentation, and portion control.
  • Support the head chef in menu planning, execution, and kitchen organization.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met in accordance with health regulations.
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff and apprentices.
  • Assist in inventory management and stock control of kitchen supplies.
  • Assist in the development of new recipes and menus that reflect current trends in Asian cuisine.
  • Respond promptly to customer feedback and adjust menu items if necessary.
  • Assist in maintaining equipment and reporting any maintenance issues.


Skills

Essential Qualifications

  • Professional culinary training or equivalent experience in a high-end dining establishment.
  • Solid understanding of Asian culinary techniques and ingredients.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Experience

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within a fine dining or upscale casual dining environment.
  • Experience with Asian cuisine is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role within the kitchen is a plus.
