Overview**This position will be physically located in Iraq in support of LOGCAP**
Under the guidance of the Postal Services Managers, the Postal Section Supervisor Plan, Operate or coordinate operational, administrative, management, and supportive services of a US Army Post Office; communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, and other external resources. Makes decisions and solving problems. Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution pertaining to mail processing, distribution and Finance Operations to include customer service and parcel inspections.

- Supervises the daily operational performance of the Postal staff by organizing, planning, and prioritizing staff duties.
- Ensure that performance work statements and standards are in compliance with US Government policies and regulations.
- Develops, implement, refine and inspects policies, procedures and files.
- Develops updates and maintains sections Internal Operating Procedures and work instructions.
- Oversees the initiation parcel inspections, preparation, and processing of military and civilian prograde and retrograde mail in accordance with Army regulations.
- Reviews work in progress and assure accurate results assessing quality and quantity produced by employees.
- Evaluate subordinate staff, comparing objectives and achievements in assessment; coaches employees in process improvements.
- Creates and monitors established work schedules and assignments for staff, according to workload, space and equipment availability.
- Ensures functional area specific training designed to improve operational capabilities, employee performance and job competency are complete.
- Confers with Postal Managers on confidential matters (personnel actions, supervisory reports, etc.) in accordance with Vectrus policies.
- Interfaces with designated Government Representatives and other contractor elements to assure smooth operations and compliance with government directives, standards and needs.
- Communicates with Management, Peers, or Subordinates providing information and instruction to leads, co-workers, and subordinates in writing, through forms, e-mails, telephone and/or in person.
- Maintains knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as managing files and records, creates forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work - Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize to accomplish work.
- Creates and maintains principles and processes for providing the highest quality of customer services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Develops and builds Teams encouraging and fostering mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Trains and teaching staff members in coordination with the Postal Traer and Inspector identifying the educational needs, developing formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaching or instructing staff.
- Support the Community Services Director with the following: subcontractor teammate oversight; human resources; creating a positive environment that is fair, inclusive, and ethical; inspire and motivate employees by recognizing achievement; counsel, coach and mentor.

Qualifications- Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
- Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain a U. S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.
- Experience:
- Minimum four (4) years of Postal Operations, to include a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- Two (2) years in an OCONUS Postal Operations is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Candidates must be open to change and to considerable diversity in the workplace.
- Candidates must process Self-Control, maintaining composure, keeping emotions in check, controlling anger, and avoiding aggressive behavior, even in very difficult situations.
- The job also requires establishing and maintaining personally challenging achievement goals and exerting effort toward mastering tasks.
- This will include Performance Improvement Plans (PIP), SOP'S, Training Plan, Work Instructions and counseling employees.
- Must also be able to work under pressure, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience handling accountable and registered mail required.
- Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Must be able to perform supervision of customs inspections conducted by custom agencies.
- Must be able to provide leadership to organize, control, coordinate and supervise operation of an APO or APO unit.
- Working Conditions:
- Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
- Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
- Physical Requirements:
- Light, medium & heavy work. Exerting between 20 to 80 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 50 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
- Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
- Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
