- Independently design, develop, and test a variety of paint and coatings formulations based on project requirements and customer needs.
- Apply and evaluate the performance of our company's raw materials (e.g., resins, additives) in various paint systems.
- Conduct thorough testing and analysis of paint properties, including but not limited to viscosity, color, gloss, adhesion, hardness, flexibility, and chemical resistance, using appropriate laboratory equipment and techniques.
- Troubleshoot formulation issues and provide effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, observations, and results.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and application guidelines for internal and external use.
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and technical service teams to support customer inquiries and provide technical expertise.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and raw materials in the paint and coatings industry.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and laboratory procedures.
- Assist in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Participate in customer visits and trials as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Coatings Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in paint and coatings formulation is essential.Strong understanding of paint chemistry, raw materials, and their impact on coating performance.Proficiency in laboratory techniques for paint preparation, application, and testing.Experience with various paint application methods (e.g., brushing, spraying, rolling).Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, for technical discussions, report writing, and presentations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.Effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
